Rhino temporary road signs

When Ashfield CE & CS decided that it was time to launch a new concept in temporary road signs, we realised that we needed to work with a consultancy that could provide sound technical knowledge with cutting edge design concepts.
 
Our initial brief was tough indeed. It included the need to make use of recyclable materials, conform to stringent legislation requirements and be more user friendly to the contractor. We also demanded a re-think of the established, traditional designs to provide an energy efficient alternative to current signage products.
 
Using CAD design techniques, Resource Plastics produced a series of design concepts for us to choose from. We were able to view "virtual" installations and assemblies in order to select the best option.
 
Resource Plastics gave sound advice on material selection in order to provide a durable "shatter-proof" polymer well suited to a tough life outdoors and able to withstand extremely low winter temperatures. It was a pre-requisite that the material be completely recyclable and would not include any metal components for safe use on gas main maintenance or repair.
 
The Production tooling was constructed using the 3D models produced by R.P with the tooling specification written by them. They procured quotations from several world class suppliers from Europe, North America and China providing Ashfield with a short list of potential manufacturers for a final decision. Both tooling charge and the finished product prices were negotiated on our behalf and a package that met our requirement for innovation and also our financial budget was achieved.
 
Following the selection of the preferred supplier, R.P managed the manufacture of tooling and the production of prototypes for our approval. Following the first off approvals, they managed the initial production Quality Assurance and ensured Ashfield received products to the specification laid down.
 
R.P proved an innovative, professional and reliable partner in the introduction of the Rhino range of temporary road signs. The project was delivered on time and within the budget agreed. I have since resolved to use R P for further projects and would not hesitate to recommend their services to other enterprises requiring a refreshing approach to industrial design and manufacture.
